Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D.: New Poster
We can't wait to finally get a date for when the pilot of Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D. will be broadcasted. We are hoping this will be after the regular TV season, at the end of May or early June. But very likely, if the show will be picked up by ABC (it would be very weird if they wouldn't), then we have to wait till September.

The Avengers 2: Will Black Panther Make An Appearance?
Morris Chestnut is an undeniable talent but has failed to crack through the gates of mainstream Hollywood or become a household name. But according to the source himself, Chestnut is rumored to be tapped to star as T'Challa the King of Wakanda in Marvel Comics' Black Panther film. Hol' up, though, that movie doesn't exist at all, and Chestnut hasn't been offered the role of Black Panther. But the next phase of Marvel entertainment promises appearances from Ant-Man, Dr. Strange, Guardians of the Galaxy will all receive the silver screen treatment.
When you combine these rumors with recent tweets published by Chestnut, things start to look interesting. "It's time to get familiar with the Black Panther character!" Chestnut wrote alongside an image of a Black Panther comic book. Later Chestnut would clarify his tweet with another. "Not final. #BlackPanther may be in #Avengers2 first. RT @Jamaal91604133: @Morris_Chestnut Can't wait to see this movie. #BlackPanther," he wrote in the pidgin Twitter-speak we've all become too familiar with.
With Chestnut publicly pointing out that he's researching the role and reading up on Black Panther's history, it is interesting to note that no one working on the Phase 3 initiative commented on his tweets. Next, he states that Black Panther may make an appearance in The Avengers 2, which could be pure speculation on his part, but seems unexpectedly knowledgeable for someone who isn't involved with Marvel Studios' plans for the character.
Casting: J. August Richard Casted For Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D.
It would seem that, despite saying he doesn’t want to cast too many veterans of his older shows in S.H.I.E.L.D., Joss Whedon's not above the idea if he finds the right fit for the role. So welcome Angel’s J. August Richard’s to the team, at least for the pilot.
Richards’ role is being kept classified for now, which fits with the modus operandi for this embryonic series. A lot about the new Marvel show is under wraps at this point, including whether US network ABC has decided to green light an actual series based on that first episode. While it would appear to be a no-brainer given the impact of those big-screen Avengers, the US TV industry is a hard place to second guess, a land where good shows die on the vine and moronic behemoths lumber on for years.

Captain America: The Winter Soldier: The Cast Is Finalized
With filming now underway on Marvel’s Captain America: The Winter Soldier, the studio today unveiled final cast and plot details for the sequel slated for an April 4, 2014 release. Those include confirmation of Deadline’s scoop that Robert Redford has joined the film as Agent Alexander Pierce, a senior leader of S.H.I.E.L.D. The pic is also bumping up Scarlett Johansson‘s role as her Avengers character Natasha Romanoff teams with Captain America (Chris Evans) in the present day “to battle a powerful yet shadowy enemy in present-day Washington, DC”. Anthony and Joe Russo are directing from Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely’s script and have filled out their supporting cast with returning Marvel actors and new faces: Sebastian Stan is back as Bucky Barnes/Winter Soldier, last seen in Captain America: The First Avenger‘s 1943 timeline, along with Hayley Atwell as Peggy Carter and Toby Jones as Arnim Zola. Samuel L. Jackson (Nick Fury), Cobie Smulders (Agent Maria Hill), and Maximiliano Hernandez (Agent Jasper Sitwell) return, joined by Anthony Mackie as Sam Wilson/Falcon, Frank Grillo as Brock Rumlow, and UFC champ Georges St-Pierre as Georges Batroc. Emily VanCamp is aboard as Steve Rogers’ new love interest, Agent 13. Filming is underway in LA and will move to Cleveland and Washington DC.Source
Captain America: The Winter Soldier: Robert Redford Cast
Here is a fun Marvel scoop. I’m hearing that Robert Redford is in discussions to join the cast of Marvel’s Captain America: The Winter Soldier, the sequel that brings Chris Evans back as the shield-carrying superhero. Redford is in talks to play a senior leadership role in S.H.I.E.L.D., the superhero collective run by Samuel L. Jackson’s Nick Fury character. Joe and Anthony Russo are directing the film from a script by Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely, whose Marvel script credits include Captain America: The First Avenger and the upcoming Thor: The Dark World. The sequel will be released by Disney on April 4, 2014.
In between running his Sundance empire, Redford most recently starred in All Is Lost, the J.C. Chandor-scripted and directed survival tale. While Marvel was predictably mum as Kevin Feige’s unit always is on casting matters, Marvel characters have a tendency to show up in other superhero movies, and I believe that is likely to be on the menu for Redford. It will be somewhat ironic for the patriarch of independent cinema to become a regular in some of Hollywood’s biggest studio blockbusters. Redford’s repped by WME.
Redford directed and stars in The Company You Keep, which Sony Pictures Classics releases April 5, with Shia La Beouf, Stanley Tucci, Nick Nolte, Susan Sarandon, Julie Christie, Sam Elliott, Brit Marling and Chris Cooper starring.
